FAQ
When are the live lessons?
Live lessons take place every Thursday from 5-6pm. You'll be able to access the Zoom link ahead of each lesson from inside the membership.
What if my child can't attend live?
No problem! Every live lesson is recorded and available to replay for 4 weeks, so your child can catch up at a time that suits them.
Do live lessons run during the school holidays?
Yes. Live lessons continue during half terms and the Christmas and Easter holidays. The membership takes a break during August, with live lessons returning in September. Occasionally, a lesson date may change around Christmas or other special dates, but members will always be given plenty of notice.
Is this suitable for
Year 10 and Year 11 students?
Yes. The membership is designed for both Year 10 and Year 11 students, whether they're building their skills and confidence or preparing for mocks and final GCSE exams.
Which exam board is
the membership for?
The weekly live lessons are designed specifically for students studying AQA GCSE English Language and Literature. We'll work on Paper 1 and Paper 2 skills, exam-style questions and techniques based on the AQA exam format.
What about GCSE English Literature?
The weekly live lessons mostly focus on AQA English Language, with some lessons covering AQA English Literature: Unseen Poetry — a component that all students are required to answer questions on in the exam. All members also get instant access to on-demand Literature lessons and resources covering Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, Jekyll & Hyde and Power & Conflict Poetry.
What happens to my membership in August?
The membership takes a summer break during August, so there are no live lessons or membership access during this month. Your subscription will be automatically paused, so you won’t be charged. If your child is continuing with GCSE English the following year, you don’t need to do anything — your membership will automatically resume in September. If your child has finished their GCSE exams, you can simply cancel when they no longer need the membership.
